Money went to the wrong account through UPI, this is how it will come back

Money send wrong no
UPI payment has become very common now. However, if there is a mistake in this, then a big mess happens. If the payment is made in the wrong account, then the chances of getting the money back are very less. It happens with many people that many times the UPI payment goes into the wrong account and people keep shaking hands. But if you adopt our method then it is possible that your money will be returned.

The question is, if you send money to another account by mistake, do you get that money back? Also, what should you do if such a situation ever happens to you and where do you have to complain and what is the process?

UPI official Twitter handle had said this while replying to a user's complaint. This is a precaution, but what if a mistake has already been made. In such a situation, the best way is to contact your bank as soon as possible. Without delay, call the customer care number. The bank can ask you all the information regarding this on email. While attaching all the proofs in the email, tell all the information like, transaction number, amount, from which account money was deducted, to which account money was transferred by mistake, date and time of transaction etc. Keep one thing in mind, the more details you give, the better. Account statement and screenshot can also be given together.

If the account in which money has been transferred by mistake, if it belongs to your own branch, then maybe there can be some ease. The bank will contact the concerned account holder on your request and if the person in front agrees, then you can get your money back in seven days. If the matter is related to another branch, then you will have to go to that branch and talk to the manager yourself. This entire process may take up to two months.

We advise you that you should be careful while doing any transaction. Any wrong input or unverified details can result in money going into the wrong person's account

You should understand one thing. That is, the bank has no responsibility for your wrong payment, so the bank does not guarantee the return of the money. Everything will depend on your prompt action. You can also initiate legal action by sending a notice from the court, but the rules of the Reserve Bank say that the banks are not guilty for this. Because you fill all the information yourself, due to this all the responsibility also becomes yours.

By the way, on payment from IFSC code, many banks give risk cover by taking some small amount. You can use this facility to send money. The second way is completely indigenous. First send one rupee, check then move ahead.
